Point-to-point file transfer between one person's devices, staged through a token-gated Raspberry Pi relay or sent directly over pinned mutual TLS.
Summary
Files move from exactly one device to exactly one other, with a SHA-256 receipt at the end. The staged path streams uploads to a small Raspberry Pi service over Tailscale with hash-verified acks and 72h/24h retention; when both ends are awake, a mutual-TLS direct path pinned to each peer's certificate is used, alongside a PySide6 tray app. The staging service is built and unit-tested, with Pi deployment in progress.
Living map wallpapers across multiple monitors: true-vector OpenStreetMap posters animated in one HTML page with road traffic pulses, solar-driven palette drift and live Open-Meteo weather.
Summary
Five true-vector OpenStreetMap posters built from OpenFreeMap tiles are animated in a single HTML page: lights travel the real road geometry, the palette drifts with the sun, and live weather draws rain, snow, fog and dust. It deploys to Lively Wallpaper in span mode, crossfading between idle and active states inside the page.
Project Helios — Temperature Overlay & RGB Heat Gauge
Done
Featherweight always-on-top CPU/GPU temperature, load and fan overlay for Windows that drives RGB as a four-level heat gauge via OpenRGB.
Summary
One C# source file, built with the compiler already inside Windows: no SDK, no runtime, about 0.1% CPU. OpenRGB is spawned only when the temperature crosses a band boundary, with hysteresis so the colour can't flap.
Wake-on-LAN bridge on a WT32-ETH01: a token-gated HTTP trigger over WiFi sends a magic packet out a point-to-point Ethernet link, OTA-updatable with no port forwarding and no PC-side software.
Summary
An ESP32 board with built-in Ethernet runs WiFi and Ethernet at once: the WiFi side serves authenticated HTTP endpoints and the Ethernet side is the only place the magic packet goes, so a sleeping NIC wakes in hardware. Arduino C++ firmware plus a printable enclosure.
A group chat for one person's devices and agents, end-to-end encrypted over Firestore with FCM push.
Summary
Messages are AES-256-GCM encrypted on the sending device and decrypted on the receiving one, and Firestore stores ciphertext only. Built as a Python library and CLI, receiver daemons with SQLite mirrors and a push relay, and an installable PWA client that needs no native builds.
Simulator predicting single-photon purity and brightness of quantum-dot emitters versus temperature, and inverting a purity target into per-component requirements.
Summary
A simulation and inverse-design stack for electrically driven epitaxial quantum-dot single-photon devices, validated across three material systems. Every parameter carries a provenance tag (measured, derived, estimated or assumed) and every output inherits the widest tag in its input chain.
Personal strength-training tracker: React Native/Expo and Firestore, an XP and rank engine in TypeScript and Python, and a Dash desktop dashboard.
Summary
Logs a set in two taps on a phone, scores consistency with an XP engine that drives a 21-tier Greek rank ladder, and lights up a muscle body map. The XP and rank engine is implemented in both TypeScript and Python against shared test vectors, and a Dash desktop dashboard charts the history.
FPGA Monte Carlo — Lattice Transport & Galton Board
Done
–
Two VHDL Monte Carlo designs for the Nexys A7: a random walk on a 7×7 lattice and an LFSR-driven Galton board, each streaming a live histogram over UART.
Summary
The lattice design runs seven LFSR walkers with per-site reflection and transfer probabilities into absorbing detectors; the Galton board drops pseudo-random balls through seven stages into eight bins with an LED display. Both stream their results to a Python viewer over UART.
Streamlit app that pulls Steam achievements via the Web API and uses a local Llama 3 model to rank which locked achievements to chase next.
Summary
Shows achievement progress for every game, lets you assign custom priority weights, and uses a local Llama 3 model via Ollama for ranking, for privacy and speed. Wrapped in a dark, cosmic-themed Streamlit interface.
Systems-level engineering for the NSF NQVL QCAP project — control, timing, and readout for a Gaussian boson sampling architecture on integrated photonics.
Summary
Part of the UNM-led Quantum Computing Applications of Photonics (QCAP) project. Poster: R. Pandey, J. Dusch, Y. Ngenzi, B. S. Sheelam, K. Pomorski, M. Osinski — "Systems-Level Engineering for Quantum Computing Applications of Photonics: Control, Timing, and Readout in a GBS Sampler".
FPGA lane-crossing game rendered over VGA (640×480) in VHDL, extended from a pong graphics template — a UNM digital design team project.
Summary
The player crosses a multi-lane road while managing a dynamic trust bar: reaching the far side wins, running the bar out loses. Built on the pong_graph_st VGA template with road stripes, lane geometry and win/lose regions, and it began as a C text-game prototype. Team project for a digital design course at UNM.
GNN-assisted quantum fabrication, with Tito Busani's group at UNM CHTM.
Summary
Used a graph neural network to analyze scanning probe microscopy data in real time, identifying fabrication paths and reducing overall writing time by ~40%.
Poster: R. Pandey, I. Stricklin, T. Busani — "Deep-Learning-Assisted Scanning Probe Microscopy Quantum Fabrication", UNM CHTM. PDF hosting coming soon.
